Where to stay? Munich/Bavaria

Hello all!
So where do the backpackers/ hostel stayers find cheap accommodations in
Munich and Bavaria once they exceed the 26 year old expiration date?? I
am one of those rare souls that travel solo after all these years and
find the hostel experience to be more interesting than just shacking up
in an lonely hotel room.

Any one have any suggestions??

Destiny

Mostly, they don't. I ended up staying at the campground, which is OK
if you have a bike or car. There were lots of Irish staying there
long-term while working, which gives you some idea how hard it is to
find any sort of accomodation. Locals post wanted ads on power-poles.

There is "the tent", but its run by Nazis, and aimed at the
drunken-youth market.

Good luck!
BTW, I stayed at some very nice german hostels outside bavaria.

In summer, book well ahead. Google has a few possibilities:

Re: Where to stay? Munich/Bavaria

i stayed at the Haus international in Munich, look on hostelworld.com

although there was a very loud crowd of high schoolers there, i would
recommend it. pros are the buffet breakfast and clean rooms with in
room shower, no age limit or curfew. cons: i never could get the
lock on the locker to work and loud guests. about $30.
