has anyone stayed at any of these hotels in Puerto Vallarta?

Westin Regina Resort or the CasaMagna Marriott Resort, Puerto Vallarta

Which is more kid friendly(ages 9 and 12). which has the better beach and
service?

is there a lot to do in the city?

The two hotels are practically neighbors -- both in the Marina district,
which IMHO doesn't have the best beaches in the PV area (fairly small,
can't walk any great distance without hitting obstacles, etc.)

I stayed in the Marriott last summer and was EXTREMELY impressed
with the quality of the rooms, the top-notch service I got, and the overall
range of amenities. I liked hanging out by the pool, but it's smaller and
less exciting than those at other resort hotels (I thought the nearby
Velas Vallarta resort had one of the nicest pools of the Marina area).
