Unhappy Aetna

Not a good place to work! Stay away unless you love stress!

I worked at Aetna too.

I worked at Aetna several years ago. I was hired on in 1999 and was fired in 2001. When I was hired we were a new class on the new system. So we were in the training room for 6 weeks. Because they were still working out the bugs. And you are right once you are in the unit its 100% Audit. And you are what?! At first it was not a big deal. We all worked together to figure things out since it was a new system. But after 3 years of it I was sooooo bored. And I got tired of everyone bickering all of the time! Then work was getting low so we were helping out other units and we were told that since we really didn't know the plans well if we were audited it wouldn't be held against us. But we were cautioned to take our time and do it right. Well 2 months later Aetna annouced a big layoff coming and since a few of us were the newest ones in the unit we were suddenly held accountable for those audits! I don't miss the jobs, but the pay was really nice! I can see that nothing has changed!

It was in the end

It was a little frustrating at first. But once I got into my unit, we were split up to go to another unit. And that is where I found my groove and all was okay. It was boring but the pay was good and the bonuses were good. It was in the very end that it got frustrating.
