What a lousy crap job! I worked at a pizza place as a driver for about 2 months. It wasn't dominos but they weren't winning any awards either. What a bunch of lying, backstabbing, thieving bastards. The only good part of the job was being away from the shop. You're right, the "big money" never makes up for the wear and tear on the car. It was only one of two ways - too many drivers and making no money or too few drivers and driving in panic mode like a bat out of hell. Let's not forget the classic - send you across town in rush hour traffic to deliver one lousy $7.00 sandwich. Or send you to the furthest reaches of the HUGE delivery area and demand to know "where the hell" you've been. Yesiree - I've been there too.
At the store that I work at, they leave 1 person inside from 7pm to 1am to tend oven, make pizzas, answer phones, carry-outs etc. everything in the store while the drivers are on the road.
Cheap ass company.
And they complain about what drivers claim for miles...$4.20 a gallon, what do you expect?
