Got Out Of Contract Toronto

Hi I too didn't read this forum before I went spent 4 hours at GEO then the deal seemed great untill I went home and slept on it. I woke in the morning and thought what have I done after reading the forums, thought how will I get out of this. Well went on the Ontario web sight CONSUMER COMERCIAL RELATIONS and found a write up on timeshare vacation clubs it gave me a sample letter and on what to write to get out of the contract I wrote it word by word filled in contract numbers and faxed it to the business manager and emailed it to her just to make sure she got it. Went up there the night after I signed dropped off the package, went in her office and of course the sales guy and the pushy prick who offered the sun and stars was there. Trying to get me to stay but kept saying NO and they gave me all my money back. Remember you only got a 10 day cooling off period to get out of the agreement after that your stuck.

I received a call, 2 evenings in a row from a California number (949-540-0781). The first night there was nobody there. The second night I had a women with a spanish accent, with others in the background.

She informed me I had won a holiday, had one year to use it and then confirmed some basic info on me they had. She then put on her supervisor, who clarified the same things. I asked questions like where did you get my name (you've been to one of our resorts), how much will this cost me (no obligation on your part), etc. She then proceeded to give me their address (60 Wilmot Street, in west Richmond Hill.....she kept pushing west Richmond Hill, Ontario....Americans obviously don't understand our geography).

While I was talking to them I googled their company name and happily found this thread. I then started to decline their offer and say no thanks. She pushed and said how come, when I said I just googled your company and this is a scam...the line went dead!!

Ironic, isn't it??

As I found from reading several posts I found that even the ramada resorts which is one of the prizes has nothing to do with the hotel chain and its not free theres house keeping fees they of course don't tell you but that is just something I read some where else.
