Hugo's Cellar

Gang-

Considering Hugo's Cellar for a group business dinner next trip. Has anyone
eaten there? Can you tell me about food\service\dress code?

Best,
Frank

Re: Hugo's Cellar

Hugo's Cellar is my favorite restaurant in Vegas. The food is
outstanding, and the sercvice exceptional.

The dress is casual, although you don't want to go looking like a slob.

I'd highly recommend making reservations in advance, especially if
you're bringing a group.

Re: Hugo's Cellar

Hugo's Cellar is a great place. You will not be disappointed. My wife
and I have found that, for the money, this place is among the best
deals in Vegas. Definitely make reservations.

Re: Hugo's Cellar

Wonderful! Reservations STRONGLY suggested.

Hugos continues to hold its own as one of the best, if not the best
restuarants downtown.

My wife and I used to love this place we would go everytime we visit but the
last two time we went last year were night and day. In May it was great and
in August it sucked. The menu had changed the wait staff wasn't very
personable and none of them looked familiar from our other visits.
Maybe we visited on a bad night in August, I sure hope so.
But we got the felling that possibly the owner or management had changed and
they cleaned house.

Re: Hugo's Cellar

We stay at the Four Queens almost everytime and play enough that the host
will comp a meal or two at Hugo's. If it wasn't comped I would not pay for
it. I recommend walking a short distance across the street to the Fremont
and go to the Second Street Grill. The food is very comparable and the
price difference is fantastic. The ambience is very good and Tony or Gloria
as a wait person will provide the best service possible. Many times we have
forgone the comp'd meal at Hugo's and paid for a meal at the 2nd street
grill.

Last few trips to Hugo's the service has declined and the food is no better
than what you get at Magnolia's upstairs.

You will enjoy the service on the salad cart and Cherries Jubilie at Hugo's
though
