We're in San Diego and it is a real ordeal to fly to Florida to get on board
a cruise ship for the Caribbean. What we'd like to do is take a courteous,
free lunch/booze flight from Tijuana on a Mexican airline to Cozumel,
Merida, Veracruz or anywhere on the east coast and get on a 8 or 9 day
cruise ship that would drop us off where we got on.

Any ideas?

You could grab a Celebrity, Holland America, Princess, Norwegian, Royal
Caribbean cruise from San Diego (one boards in Ensenada) thru the Panama
Canal to Fort Lauderdale (several Caribbean stops) and buy a one-way
Southwest flight home (or vise versa). It cuts the pain by 1/2!!
OR
Do a back to back and wind up back in San Diego.

I am partial to HAL, but in my mind, there is no such thing as a 'bad
cruise'.

Remember....

>A bad day on a cruise is better than a good day at work.<

BTW, in case no one has told you....if you own 100 (or more) shares of
Carnival, you get a nice onboard shareholder credit if you cruise on one of
their lines. (you have to do the footwork of applying for it)
