Re: Bush's platform shoes.

I saw a wax statue of him at the museum here in Victoria,
and Tom Cruise was taller than him. Just tell the camera
men to bend down alot. That is what Tom does.

Bush claims to be 6' tall, yet others say he's 5'9". Look again at that
photo--I think they're BOTH wearing 2+ " heels. (platforms, whatever
they're called)

What a great pic. A typical gay wedding photo. They look very much in love.

Lets not go crazy here. I think he is 5'10" (But it COULD be 5'9")

Perhaps there's a second reason here that he is called shrub.

I asked a buddy of mine who spoke with W after a Fun Run which they had
participated in when W was Governor:

" Yeah, I spoke to the Governor for a few minutes after the run.
We even talked about running shoes. During that time I thought we
were about the same height, with no big difference from my 6'0".
And a picture taken by Linda suggests that George W might be a bit
taller. He was in standard running shoes, which I wouldn't call
high heels. "

Pretty sad when people have to pick on ones' height or shoe selection
in order to critize.

Yes, it is very sad when that is the level they have to stoop. But look at
the people who are stooping, it isn't surprising. It is just as sad that
they have to pick at how he speaks.
Personally, I think W speaks in a very clear manner, you know what he is
saying. He isn't trying to use fancy terminology. People like Al Gore and
Bill Clinton are fine speakers, too fine in some ways. They could sell a
screen door to a submarine captain. But is that what we want? Someone who
can speak in a manner that could confuse most people?
Or do we want someone that speaks in a manner that is clear and easy to
understand?
I don't like everything about W either and I will criticize him on some of
his policies, but I think he speaks from the heart most of the time. He
tells you how it is, no sales job.
