I realize that this may not be the best group for this question but i am
looking for a backpack that is designed to hold a laptop as well as other
equip (mp3 player|cell phone) etc... does anyone know a good manufacturer
for this type of niche backpack?

Kelty makes an excellent pack complete with a padded sleeve for the laptop
itself - I use it daily and the 'puter hasn't complained yet.
