hi

i will be in Tirupur/Coimbatore in the middle of april and i was
thinking of taking a small vacation in Kerala for 6-7 days. i know it
may not be the best time but i will have to make the best of it. after
some initial research, i was thinking of first going to Munnar for 2-3
nights and then go to Alleppey. i thought of alleppey because it is
the center for the backwater experience and the arabian sea is close
by.

Now about Alleppey, are there any good beaches in that area, by good
beaches i am thinking clean fine sand and good water. because of the
weather at that time i may not be able to do the overnight houseboat
cruise.

i really want to go to a good beach and i think that might be a little
more important that the backwaters for me this time. i could go to
Kovalam but i don't want to do unnecessary travelling and would be
happy to stay around the Alleppey area if i could and it serves my
requirements.

please if you people could give any recommendations for hotels in
Munnar and Alleppey most importantly whether i should go to Alleppey
at all.
