I'm considering spending 3 weeks travelling through Zimbabwe. I
intend to do this independentally and by myself. The British foreign
office website recommends against this but I was wondering if anyone
knows whether the hostels are normally backpackers meeting places are
deserted?

Any other information safety or other travel tips for Zimbabwe would
be very welcome.
