Argentine Emigration to Israel Drastically Reduced

Buenos Aires, Dec 30 (Prensa Latina) The improvement of economic
situation in Argentina and adaptability problems to living in Israel are
main causesbehind the drastic decrease in the number of Argentines who
immigrate to that Middle East country.

The assessment is included in a report by Clarin newspaper, based on Tel
Aviv data, saying that 6,300 Argentined immigrated to Israel in 2002,
and 1,464 in 2003, following the start of the crisis in 2001.

According to the research, the situation has changed and many nationals
are returning due to the economic recovery and worsening of problems in
the Middle East nation.

Most immigrants belong to the Jewish community settled in Argentina, who
have faced poverty but so far are not massively leaving the country.
