Mexican Deputies to Demand Clarification of Feds Lynching
Mexico, Dec 29 (Prensa Latina) Mexican deputies will demand Wednesday a
detailed report from Attorney General Rafael Macedo, about the investigation
following the lynching of two federal agents here.
The demand will be presented by the parliamentarian group of Partido de
la Revolucion Democratica opposition party in the Mexican Congress Permanent
Comision, who assert they are acting solely on legal considerations, away
from any political motive.
This statement was confirmed Tuesday night by the parliamentary Public
Security Commission Secretary Lizbeth Rosas, who reiterated that the
Attorney General will be urged to investigate according to the law.
There have been arguments that over a month after the bllody events in
San Juan Ixtayopan, the case is being politically used to give a harsh blow
to the Mexican government.
The capital4s mayor Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador also accused the
Republic4s Presidency on Monday of politically manipulating the case.
The two Federal Preventive Police agents were assassinated November 23,
in San Juan Ixtayopan, in Tlahuac district, by a crowd accusing them of
supposedly being children kidnappers.
