Carry-On advice requested

Heading to Honolulu from Toronto next week, with a change of planes in
Vancouver.

Planning the packing of the carry-on bag, knowing security issues, of
course, what advice do people have for taking with you I am most
concerned with lost luggage, hence want to pack some essentials -
medicines, camera, change of clothes, glasses, ...

Advice?

Thanks,

Don't pack anything that your mother would not want you holding while
running in the house. You should be fine with that.

No, I know not to pack "sharp" objects. It is not "securitry" I am
asking about - it is "convenience", "comfort",...like that...

I am asking what SHOULD I pack that I would not immediately think of.
Any experienced travelers advice would be appreciated.

Any Prescription Medication, Glasses, Alergy meds if needed.
Change of clothes.
Toiletries are usually free at the Hotel. (Tooth brush, Razors, etc.)
All necessary documents if Business.
Electronics - I'd feel safer with it in my carry-on. Known
to be stolen from checked baggage.

Lay out the items that you are taking. If you can't do without something
for a day or two, it goes in the carry-on. Usually, on my way to the Hotel,
I stop at a store, and pick up a 6 or 12 pack of Pepsi & a few small snacks.
Hotel vending machines are outrageous, and I won't drink the water anywhere.
I think you'll be fine - Have a good trip.

You've already got it.

Carry on anything you cant afford to lose, i.e. those things you
need immediately on arrival and cant easily replace or live
without for the 48 hours or so it takes to relocate your bag.

I always carry on any medication, camera, spare spectacles
and clean shirt, change of underwear and socks.

Keith
