Thanks very much Michael, I appreciate your tips.
Yes, I know some months have even lower rates (and higher temps), but
I'm on a university schedule. Depending on the day of the week and
month for Labor Day and New Year's, our Christmas break is anywhere
from two to over four weeks. Same thing in May-June.
And I love December in NOLA. Papa Noel events (food) and rates, plus
greater discounts from the chain I usually use (got 50% off in a
special offer from Wyndham). This is my 10th or 11th December trip.
