the happenings then:

Of course, Halloween is something special here, but you can have a ghostly
time in New Orleans every day of the year:

Come on down - the weather's great for hauntings!

Re: Halloween in New Orleans

Enjoyed your posting!! This will be our first Halloween in NO. We have
our costumes ready! Couple of questions for you.....Is there any
websites that have a listing of "goin on's" along Bourbon for Halloween
weekend. We will be staying at the Royal St. Charles from friday
through monday. Also, what should we expect throughout the
weekend......crowd wise....people dressed up through the weekend or just
Halloween night, ....etc.
Thanks again and we are counting the days!!! (feel free to give us an
email)

Sorry for the late reply. There are no organized events "on Bourbon St". But
check the links I gave you before for things happening then:

Since Halloween is Sunday, I expect people will be dressed on Saturday as
well as Sunday. It really doesn't matter, you'll be appreciated in any case.
There's a goth convention and an Anne Rice fan convention (2 of them) here
then and they look costumed all the time.

I hope you have a good time here. There's plenty to do on Bourbon St and
elsewhere whether you have a costume or not.

Laissez le bon temps roulez!

Re: Halloween in New Orleans

Thanks for the reply....
Yea, we have our costumes ready for Sunday night......
We will just be playing on Bourbon both Fri and Sat.
We were thinking about checking out the House of Shock Sat
evening.....is it worth taking a cab out there (not sure how far away it
is from the french quarter) or should we just hang on Bourbon for the
night......thanks for the help?
